Application Maintenance

App and software maintenance for your next release.

VASUYASHII scopes maintenance for existing mobile apps, web applications and business software after reviewing the codebase and operating setup. Start with the problems users experience and the access your team controls. Support coverage, response targets and release work are agreed in writing.

Maintenance starts with a codebase and access review

Best fit

Businesses taking over an app from a previous developer
Teams needing a manageable bug and release backlog
Apps affected by dependency, OS or integration changes
Owners who need clear support responsibilities

Establish what can be supported

Review the repository, build instructions, hosting, backend, database, store accounts, integrations and known incidents. We identify missing access and inherited defects before agreeing routine maintenance. Start the enquiry with a non-sensitive description; credentials and private customer records do not belong in a public form.

Define the recurring work

The agreement can cover bug investigation, dependency updates, monitoring checks, backup and recovery checks, integration maintenance and release preparation. Each item needs a limit and an owner. A new module, redesign or platform migration receives a separate estimate unless it is explicitly part of the agreed backlog.

Make incident and release decisions clear

Separate acknowledgement time from investigation and resolution targets. Define business hours, severity examples, escalation contacts and any out-of-hours arrangement. Releases need an appropriate test environment, approval owner and recovery plan. No round-the-clock availability or fixed resolution time is included by default.

Review cost against actual scope

Support cost depends on code condition, platforms, integrations, release frequency and coverage. Hosting, store fees, messaging charges and other vendor costs should be separate line items. A periodic review should show resolved issues, releases, remaining risks and the next agreed work, rather than just an unexplained monthly invoice.

Process

From an inherited codebase to an agreed support cycle.

Use the maintenance guide and audit checklist below to prepare a comparable brief. The quote follows the review; neither the guide's planning examples nor an initial enquiry establishes an SLA for your application.

  1. 1. Describe the app, stack, known issues and current support arrangement.
  2. 2. Review authorized access, buildability and the incident backlog.
  3. 3. Agree coverage, exclusions, response targets and release approvals.
  4. 4. Work through the approved backlog and review progress with the owner.

Scope Checklist

Agree the maintenance boundaries before support begins.

Supported apps, backend, environments and integrations
Access ownership, recovery contacts and handover material
Issue allowance, support hours and escalation targets
Vendor charges, major changes and exit arrangements

Evaluate the scope

Prepare the evidence for your support review.

These guides help organize your application brief. They describe review criteria, not a completed audit of your app.

FAQs

Questions buyers ask before getting started.

Can you maintain an app built by someone else?

We can assess it. Support acceptance depends on lawful access, the technology, the ability to build and test it, documentation and the condition of the code. The review may identify stabilization work before recurring support can begin.

Is new development included in maintenance?

Only if specifically agreed. Bug fixes and routine updates differ from a new module, redesign, migration or major integration. Record the scope and effort boundary before work starts.

Do you offer an emergency response guarantee?

Response hours, severity and escalation targets must be agreed for the application. Acknowledging an incident is different from resolving it, and vendor outages can affect recovery. Do not assume 24/7 coverage from a maintenance enquiry.

Discuss the scope that fits your business.

Share the current setup, users and main problem. We can review the fit, required work and next step before preparing a proposal.
